Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information Out The Box Innovations ("we", "us") collects when you use thevisceralfatfix.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, please get in touch.
Who we are
The Visceral Fat Fix is published by Out The Box Innovations, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, contact hello@thevisceralfatfix.com.
We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your email address, when you sign up for the newsletter or request the free 7-Day Quick Start guide.
- Your name, email address and message, when you use the contact form.
- Order information, if you buy the book. Payments are handled by our payment provider or by Amazon — we do not receive or store your full card details.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and the site or advert that referred you.
- Cookies and similar technologies, including advertising pixels. See Cookies and tracking below.
Why we use it
- To send you the free guide and the weekly newsletter you asked for.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To deliver and support any product you purchase.
- To understand how the site performs and improve it.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, our legal bases are: consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies), contract (delivering a product you bought), legitimate interests (site security, analytics, preventing abuse), and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:
- Email and CRM platform — GoHighLevel stores your email address and sends the guide and newsletter.
- Retail — books are sold through Amazon. We do not process payments ourselves and never see your card details; Amazon’s own privacy policy governs those purchases.
- Hosting — Hostinger serves this website and stores its server logs.
- Fonts — this site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Advertising — Google Ads, to measure how our advertising performs. See Cookies and tracking.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
Cookies and tracking
This site runs a Google Ads tag on every page, which we use to measure whether our advertising is working — for example, whether someone who clicked an ad went on to request our free guide. It may also let us show ads to past visitors on other sites (remarketing) and set a cookie or similar identifier on your device to do this. We do not use Google Analytics, and there is no Meta pixel on any page.
We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not sell it. Google’s own privacy policy governs how it handles this information; you can see and adjust what Google shows you at adssettings.google.com, and opt out of interest-based advertising more broadly through the Network Advertising Initiative or Digital Advertising Alliance.
We do not currently ask for consent before this tag runs. If you are visiting from the UK or EEA, be aware it may load before you have a chance to object; blocking cookies in your browser, or using the opt-outs above, remains available to you at any time. We are working on a consent banner and will update this policy when it ships.
Beyond that: our host keeps standard server logs, and loading a page requests typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; doing so may stop parts of the site working as intended.
If we add further analytics or advertising tools later, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any additional non-essential cookie is set.
How long we keep it
Newsletter subscribers are kept until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression record so we do not email you again by mistake. Business and tax records are kept for seven years, as US federal and Florida requirements expect. Contact-form messages are kept for two years and then deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
- Receive your information in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time, including by using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, if you are a California resident.
To exercise any of these, email hello@thevisceralfatfix.com. We will respond within the time limit that applies in your jurisdiction. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside your country, including in the United States. Where information is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or on Standard Contractual Clauses.
Children
This site and its products are intended for adults. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If the change is significant we will tell subscribers by email.
